I am sad sad sad!!! I met Mike Dirnt, the bass player, and he gave me a pick which I use for guitar practice. I am absolutely heartbroken.

Oh God I had no idea. I was just getting to like them. They're really talented, and they're supposed to be on Saturday Night Live tonight and play some shows here in October. Is it really true? That's so sad.

Look closely at the dates on the first two posts. They are over a year old. Now, Green Day released their latest CD in late 2004, so to me, it sounds like they either split and got back together, or someone is full of crap. Either way, they must be together now.

Whoa. Didn't notice that. Thanks for bringing that up Kc. I should've told my brother they broke up though. He's a huge fan and would've been really sad. Would've made a great April Fool's joke.

Going to see them next week, no cancelling of the concert and no news of them splitting up and, yes, they've released an album and played about 100 to 200 shows since the topic was actually posted.
They had some very trying times in the studio during the recording of both the last and second to last album, lots of pressure from the public and the recording label and also some artistic differences but they seem tohave overcome those, thankfully, they are a great band. However it is official that Blink 182 have called it quits for now, no touring or new albums, they said they wanted time to spend with their families and so they laid the band to rest for some time.
